Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, April 24, 2024

Josh S

Hey amigos! Welcome to Wednesday’s surf report from Colorados. The waves were arguably even better today than yesterday. The waves had a little more punch and consistency this morning. Kevin driving up into the largest right of the morning.

Kevin weaved through this beast for a while. In the end, the end-section closed out out on him.

John managed to sneak into more than a few gems this morning. The early bird got the worms. The lefts were round and open at low tide this morning. It’s rare to see lefts very open, so us goofy-footers had to make hay while the sun shines.

Josh S

This guy opted to target some of the insiders and rip through some turns while most other surfers chose to sit further out waiting for tubes. He had a big smile as he pushed through this turn.

Josh S

Could you have squeezed into and weaved through this crystal blue runner?

John slamming the gas pedal down to the max.

Float the section! Make sure you keep you compress your knees through the landing on these types of maneuvers.

Josh S

Gatorade blue hollow mini-drainers. Jett would’ve got an epic tube on this one. The rest of us adults would’ve had to have folded up into a ball.

An unknown surfer doing his best to hug the face and weave through a more almondy south peak barrel.

To close today’s surf action, John went to battle with a rip-current mucking up his hollow left drainer.

Josh S

He’s managed the first part of the rip and is poking his head out for the exit. No mistakes can be made now that the hard work has been done!

Josh S

He succeeded with the exit too. Barrel completed!

To summarize the conditions since Saturday and Sunday, it was fun every day around mid-tide and low-tide. But it was never the epic swell that Surfline called for. Oh well, it was still fun and gave us more time to get into shape for when the real big swell does come. Tomorrow should be smaller than today, but I think we’ll still get some really fun waves. Hasta mañana.
