Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, April 13, 2024

Josh S

Hi everyone! Welcome to Saturday’s surf report primarily from Spot X. This opening frame is from Colorados though. The wind was very strong today so I think most of the surfers in the neighborhood hit the golf course, got massages, or took some naps throughout the day haha.

Here’s the opening shot for Spot X. It’s interesting to see how well Spot X handles the nuclear winds that we sometimes get.

Josh S

The camera focus despises Spot X, especially at mid-day. Koji held down the fort for Yuji while he is away.

Josh S

Vincent did well to adapt to the challenging jack-in-box peak I call Spot X. He was liking the behind the peak takeoffs.

Josh S

The rights dominated the sandbar at Spot X today, but I saw a few mind-melting lefts too.

Josh S

This is usually how my sessions at Spot X go haha! Koji on the way to give the sandbar a hug. Someone has to do it every time that we surf there. It’s just that it’s usually me giving the mandatory hug.

Josh S

I gotta give Vincent props again. Spot X might just be the most challenging place to surf on the beach, yet he was able to adapt and make a few takeoffs during his first session there and with crazy strong wind.

Josh S

Koji had the local intel and read on the waves though. This was a diamond in the rough this morning.

Josh S

The deep cylinders that us in the know always look for at Spot X.

Josh S

Vincent’s board has a mind of its own haha!

Josh S

Wham! Koji unwound hard into the lip of this right.

Josh S

The wind was pretty near impossible today haha. Even Koji, who has pretty crazy high paddle speed, got blown off of this one.

Josh S

One more quick off the top from Koji to seal the session shut. Cold water out there again today too.

Josh S

You can see the full effects of the wind here… Not for the feint of heart. I was happy to sit on the sidelines today haha! Tomorrow will likely be similar, maybe a little less wind. Tony Z returns to the report though, so be sure to stop in and see what action he captures.
