Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, April 11, 2024

Josh S

Hi everyone! Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from Colorados. The waves were arguably even better today. It was windier, but I think the sandbars are gradually improving.

Jeison never turns down a hollow right. Even if it looks like it will closeout he still gives it a whirl.

Josh S

The crowd was still fairly light today. There were more than a handful of gems that snuck past everyone without riders.

Josh S

An unknown, and patient, rider managed to find a river-mouth right way down South.

Oscar skipping over the rip current section of this square left drainer.

Lesther got the wave of the photo window this morning. You know you have a good brother when he’s cheering you on from the inside.

Josh S

It was a fairly lengthy and hollow tube, so I’ll share a few frames from the sequence.

Josh S

He got pretty deep on this thing. It was a pretty perfect wave though.

Josh S

Even as Lesther started to cruise out, the wave chucked him another bonus section.

Josh S

Successful exit.

And a grab rail roundhouse to set the cherry on top.

Josh S

This was a mental right. This guy just barely missed it though. To be fair he was pretty wide and would’ve had a better line had he been behind the peak.

Josh S

The vision and thrill we all pursue as tube junkies. Nothing like it.

Josh S

The run of fun, but not quite epic, waves continues. Tomorrow is forecasted to be pretty windy, but the swell size itself looks fun. I’ll bring you the best action I can regardless of what tomorrow brings. Hasta luego.
