Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, March 28, 2019

Javier Baldovinos

What's up NSR fans? Ready to see some good size waves here in Nicaragua? Well, today started to show more size and this morning was really good.

Javier Baldovinos

The shape of the waves were really good, little peaks here and there, breaking really nice both ways.

Javier Baldovinos

There was plenty of room to catch speed and to throw big buckets of water on the in-between sets waves.

Javier Baldovinos

The waves were not full barreling but it was a good warm up for what it is supposed to come tomorrow.

Javier Baldovinos

Everyone was excited at the beach, talking about how good it was today and how great it will be tomorrow (crossing fingers!).

Check out Byron Quedo getting ready for tomorrow's barrels at First Peak...

Javier Baldovinos

After the drop he did a bottom turn around that very first quick section.

Then he used both hands to slow down and tried to get some cover under the lip.

Javier Baldovinos

As you can see here, he did tried very hard to get barreled but the waves were not helping much today on that matter.

Javier Baldovinos

But that didn't stop him destroy the wave with a powerful snap on the inside. I think he is ready for tomorrow!

Javier Baldovinos

Even though tomorrow is not my day for the surf report, I'll try to take some photos of Santana and pass them on to Brian so he can include them on tomorrow's report. Have a great day tomorrow everyone!
